This specification covers nominal wall and minimum wall seamless ferritic alloy-steel pipe intended for high-temperature service. ASTM A335 pipe ordered to this specification shall be suitable for fusion welding, bending, flanging (vanstoning), and similar forming operations.
API 5L X42 X52 X65 standard specifies seamless circular tubes of alloy steels used in chemical plant construction, pressure vessels,piping system and general mechanical and engineering purposes.

Main Steel grades are Din 1629 the specification applies to steel pipes seamless and pipes are suitable for gas fusion welding,arc welding, flash butt welding, electric pressure welding and gas pressure welding.
ASTM A333 covers nominal (average) wall seamless and welded carbon and alloy steel pipe intended for use at low temperatures. Several grades of ferritic steel are included. Some product sizes may not be available under this specification because heavier wall thicknesses have an adverse affect on low-temperature impact properties.
